Fragment 13 - Getting interviews

Quite naturally I have managed to get interviews via job advertisements. But I have also managed to get interviews using all my search strategies which are recruiting firms, online presence, and personal network. Here is an example of how this worked for each strategy:

I sent an e-mail to one of the big recruiting firms, and this way I got in dialogue with a recruiter. After a coule of weeks this resulted in an interview.

Over time I had included recruiters I had worked with in my Linkedin network. At some point I was writing on my Linkedin profile that I was looking for a job. The result was that 3 recruiters contacted me. One of these contacts resulted in an interview.

I told everybody in my personal network that I was looking for a job. A colleague had worked for a company that was interesting for me. He contacted one of his former colleagues, and this way I got an interview.
