In general I find it important to be well prepared for meeting. This is of course also the case for job interviews. This is what I did to feel well prepared:
First thing was to check out the company, primaily via the home page where the "About" tab always proved to provide useful information. There I learned the basic company information, including size, age, vision, mission and values of the company. I also set up a search agent via my feedreader simply tipping in the company name. This way I got updated on the latest news about the company.
Then I checked out the people in the company. My rimarily source was Linkedin that proved to be very useful because almost everybody that I checked had a profile there. First I looked up the profiles of the people I was going to talk to, including possible contacts that we had in common. Via the Company section at Linkedin I found out who else in my direct or indirect network worked in the company. Another useful source of information about people was pipl. Pipl is is a search engine that searches "the deep web" which results in other information about people than googeling.
I was googeling variations of "job interview questions", and a lot of resources popped up. I especially liked this video that wraps up the 4 most important questions. For an extended preparation I used this list of questions and answers.
Having checked out the company and the people, and prepared the questions I felt prepared for small talk and to answer questions during the interview.
